Sichuan Radio Monitoring Station was established in 1988, under the administration of Sichuan Economic and Information Commission. It is the technical support organization of radio management in Sichuan Province, mainly engaged in the monitoring of radio waves, the detection of radio transceiver equipment, the electromagnetic environment test and electromagnetic radiation test of radio station (station) site. To be responsible for the business guidance of 21 city and state monitoring stations in the province, solve major problems in radio monitoring work in the province, and organize and command regional joint monitoring. The provincial monitoring station is also responsible for the training and drilling of monitoring technology and the construction of monitoring technology facilities.

After years of construction, the provincial radio monitoring station has the first-class monitoring technical facilities and national radio testing laboratory in China. The existing technical room is 2463 m2, and the provincial monitoring and command center under construction is nearly 10000 m2. The provincial monitoring station has a group of professional and technical personnel with high quality, familiar with laws and regulations and technical standards, and rich experience. There are 18 staff in the whole station, including 4 senior engineers and 6 engineers, and technical personnel account for more than 80% of the total.

During the 11th Five Year Plan period, Sichuan Radio Monitoring stood up to the actual situation of the province, and carried out various work actively and effectively around the three core work contents of frequency management, station management and order management, making a positive contribution to the economic development, national defense construction and social stability of the province.
